The Sambadrome: Two skaters enter, one skater leaves

We thought El Roggie had been putting on a bit of weight recently, but it turns out it was all in preparation for this week’s Sunday Stroll, which is a fancy dress special where we’ll see Roggina leading the stroll dressed as the legendary fat king, or King Momo, from the Rio Carnival.

Yes, you’re not dreaming, this week the Rio Carnival is coming to London with skates on. So it’s out with your baggy jeans and t-shirts, and in with your glitter and face masks as we head off to the Sambadrome for some summer fun.

The route will be an especially easy one around the west end, with a half time stop outside Euston Station. So wear as much flare as you dare, or simply come as you are – especially if you normally dress like you’re heading to Brazil for a twirl on the Copacabana!! Just promise to leave Barry Manilow at home.
