Alice’s Adventures In Hyde Park
February 20, 2012
Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the Serpentine beach. So she was considering in her own mind (as well as she could, for the hot day made her feel very sleepy and stupid), whether the pleasure of drinking a red wine might be worth the trouble of getting up and finding the local Sainsbury’s, when suddenly a White Rabbit with pink eyes made an awesome looking magic-slide and halted right by her.
There was nothing so very remarkable in that; nor did Alice think it so very much out of the way to hear the Rabbit say to itself, “Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late!” (when she thought it over afterwards, it occurred to her that she ought to have wondered at this, but at the time it all seemed quite natural); but when the Rabbit actually took an allen key out of its waistcoat-pocket, adjusted a frame bolt, and then hurried on, Alice started to her feet, for it flashed across her mind that she had never before seen a rabbit with either an allen key, or wearing a set of brand new Salomon FSK Detonators with 80mm Crazy Glue Matter F1 wheels.
“How odd!” she thought “Those are indoor wheels! And Salomon haven’t made skates for at least five years!”. Burning with curiosity, she ran across the Serpentine Road after it, just in time to see it zip past a nearby rabbit hole and head off in the direction of Hyde Park Corner.
“Cribbins!” thought Alice. “I’d better get my bunny ears, fluffy tail and provocative but empowering bunny-girl costume on … and find my skates!”
Easter Skate 2012: After six years of this, you ought know what to do 😉
