Berlin Hangover 2012

It’s Berlin marathon weekend, so while all the lycra clad racers are whizzing around Germany, hangover from the after party, we’ll be having a super-slow stroll around London on Sunday. Geared specially for skaters who haven’t a lot of experience on the streets (though with lots to entertain those who have) the route loops around Buckingham Palace Gardens and Green Park, never travelling that far from Hyde Park Corner or a tube station. Half time is at Trafalgar Square. Total distance is just 7.5 miles in a leisurely two hours.

Nothing Hill

This week the LFNS takes an anticlockwise loop around Hyde Park through Fitzrovia, Queensway (half time), a short steep descent in the area of Notting Hill, Kensington and Knightsbridge. No concept, no theme, but some fun bits of road and some other bits of road to join them up.

Water off a duck’s back

This Sunday we are going up over the Regent’s canal and down through Maida Vale to the Little Venice waterfront – we’ll be rolling like water off a duck’s back, which in skaters’ speak means we’ll let our feathers out for some rolling. No idea what the ducks will be up to though. Pray for some good weather so we can find out!

Holland Park Snail

It’s the easy weekend line up! If you are one of the few skaters left in London this weekend you are in for some easy rides, as Lead Marshal Antonio takes us gently through some nice central London roads.

On Sunday we are taking an easy Snail Stroll west to Holland Park. With rather a few smooth roads and some great tunes to blast, this is a good time to try a street skate for the first time.

Easy ride to Pimlico

It’s the easy weekend line up! If you are one of the few skaters left in London this weekend you are in for some easy rides, as Lead Marshal Antonio takes us gently through some nice central London roads.

On Friday night we are off to Pimlico, past some central landmarks on our way there and back. It’s going to be a short and mild route for a Friday, with time to take in the river views.

Solstice Sunday

It’s the end of the summer solstice weekend, so add this Sunday Stroll to your busy schedule of pagan rituals and together we’ll set the roads on (bon)fire!

Due to scheduling conflicts this will be a regular Sunday Stroll. The next SnailStroll will be next Sunday 1st July, which it’s not technically the last Sunday of the month but it’s so close we couldn’t resist.
