New lead marshal Van has spent months in training, through a rocky-style montage, getting ready to take you out this weekend on a sunny sojourn through the city. 8 miles to Great Ormond Street and back
Like an unwon lottery prize, we’ve been hoping to get a winner on this Sunday route for several weeks but Tlaloc the Aztec God of **** has denied us the opportunity. 8 miles, going west to the Sloaney Pony on what’s looking to be a nice sunny day. Asbox transmitter should be out
Our lead marshal wanted to do this route on his birthday last month, but it didn’t happen. So he will be using all the new found maturity gained in the past month to take us to Kennington and Vauxhall this Friday.
Do you remember magic eye pictures? If you stared really hard at a pattern you could make out a shape. Well if you can suspend reality for two hours on Friday then let lead marshal Jose take you on an equine outline crossing the central line; won’t that be fine?
It’s getting colder so we’re going to aim to start bang on 8 this week so please be punctual
Last year we had a wonderful skater party for the Eurovision song contest. Guess what? This year we’re having another!
Where better to laugh at Blue get whupped in a celebration of european harmony, dance routines and fire than in the company of your fellow skaters at The Smithfield Tavern, Saturday May 14th – 7pm for the show to begin at 8pm.
For those wondering who to support Рthe Romanian entry is British Рdu-te Rom̢nia!!

After last weeks snail paced skate The Sunday stroll returns you to its scheduled programming, in other words – repeats. This week we’ve dug out an old favourite route to Shepherds Bush Green, but with new Lead Marshal Paul at the helm.
9 miles of the best of the west to look forward to. this skate is a couple of miles longer than last week’s, so if that was your first stroll you might look at this as the next step up. For your convenience there are tube stations at South Kensington and Shepherds Bush so if you think you might struggle, make sure you’ve got your travelcard and shoes.
Worried about how your skating skills are going to measure up this year? Reassure yourself on channel 4 tomorrow evening (Jan 4) by watching “celebrities” on ‘Famous and Fearless’ compete in a speed skating competition. “Celebrities” include Rufus Hound, Jonah Lomu, Kelly Holmes and Mandy from Hollyoaks.
It’s Sunday, It’s cold and we don’t want to stray too far away from the park. With Xmas shoppers in town and Chelsea playing on Saturday we thought it perfect to have a sojourn around the outskirts of Belgravia and Kensington, where the rich people live.
Yes, we’re going to try to repeat last Sunday, minus the wet stuff and plus the skate.
Half time Aldwych. The meaning of this area of London refers to “Old settlement”, we’re too far beyond Halloween to tell you lies about old witches.
Given the precipitative nature of the last few weeks we decided to head into the hills, just in case the flooding gets worse. But remember, what goes up must come down! Half time is at Swiss Cottage.
