Brothers and sisters, its time for church – well, as close to a church as most of us are likely to get for a while. Admittedly it’s a pretty special church, but hey. Without further ado, we’re pleased to announce for this Sunday Stroll we’re heading our way to St Paul’s Cathedral. Its a tidy little route with lots of smooth roads and no hills. Perfect for a lazy Sunday Afternoonah.
This Sunday we take the a roundabout route to the most excellent coffee shop in Hatton Garden. For anyone thinking of pimping up their skates, this is surely the perfect place to pick up some quality diamonds. It’s not a bad spot for cake either.
It’s been ages since we skated to Clapham, and even longer since we crossed Albert Bridge on a Friday, so let’s do it all, let’s go crazy, let’s skate a Friday!
We’re pleased to announce a new LFNS app for iPhone 3GS and later devices. The app was produced by an independent software developer and is available free of charge from the Apple App Store.
The app gives you instant notification as soon as we announce whether a skate is on or rained off.
It also lists the latest skate route maps and plots your current position on the map – handy if you’re running late and trying to catch up with your friends.
We’re stil hoping someone will make a similar app for Android phones, so let us know if you’re interested!
This week the Sunday Stroll will be heading at a very gentle pace to the tiny park that’s just across the road from St Paul’s Cathedral. The roads around the city are extremely quiet at the weekends, and they’re very smooth all year round, so all in all, this is a good chance to shake off any lingering winter blues. We hope to see you there!
This Sunday will be a very special skate, because its the first time Jose will be leading the skate. Although he’s a highly accomplished cone dodger, Jose has promised to skate n a straight line most of the time this Sunday. The route takes us for a gentle stroll around North East to Covent Garden seven dials before heading back to Serpentine Road.
The evening are gettings darker, and leaves on roads make the burb’s a little dicey at the moment. So this week, the LFNS is staying central and heading west. To Ladbroke Grove we go, our route taking in several gentle downhills and some lovely long smooth bits. Oooh la la.
This Friday we’re going for a blast around the centre of London guided by lead marshal Sparky. The route is spookily similar to the route for Saturday night’s Halloween 2011 fancy dress skate, but that’s where the similarity ends. Friday’s skate is not the Halloween fancy dress skate, its the LFNS init!

This week we’re thinking coffee and cookies at half time. This week we’re heading on a 6mile short Sunday Stroll to Euston, so we’ll have plenty of time to enjoy all the yummy yummy nom noms on offer outside the station. We hope to see you there.
