This week we take a skate through the Mews of Marylebone then head west, descend Kensington Church Street to South Kensington tube for half time. After we will cross the The Thames briefly before heading back through Belgravia. Hope to see you there!
If you haven’t had your fill of skate scariness, come out on Sunday to relive – quite literally – the night before. The pale skin, the red eyes, the zombie-like expression – and that’s just the hangover. This Sunday is not just any Sunday Stroll, it’s your chance to scare London senseless once more. Put your costume on again if you feel like it (or keep it on if you partied that hard you haven’t taken it off yet). But whatever you do, make sure you get your skates on to put the spooks up Oxford Street and the West End!
If the weather beats us into submission on Saturday night, this will be the back-up Halloween Skate.
What better way to start the month of September than a nice little skate on a Sunday afternoon. Come and join your Lead Marshall, Emily, as she takes us round the streets of West London to Shepherds Bush. There are some lovely smooth surfaces out there just begging you to roll along. So dust of your bearings, crank of the music, and lets make a day of it!
There is nothing finer than flowing through a smooth mews. This friday we have a fine selection. We also have on offer Kensington Church Street, another fast flavoursome treat.
With halftime at South Kensington Station, & after a roll down to the South Embankment, your wheels will be sated, satisfied, spent.
This Sunday our star quaddie lead marshal Kev will be taking the Sunday Stroll on a wonderful wander down to Wandsworth. Hopefully the temperatures will stay up and we might even see some sun! So come and join us with music, wheels and a willingness to have a good time!!
This weekend is a bank holiday and, being the last Sunday of the month, it is a Snail Stroll. So if you haven’t skated for a while or you think you’re ready to give street skating a go, this is the perfect weekend as your muscles will have all day on Monday to recover! Come and join your Lead Marshal Emily on a winding route down to Battersea Park for half time. But the picnic in the park won’t happen there – save it for when we get back to The Serpentine!!
This Friday is our traditional Long Good Friday skate where we mostly follow the circle line around town covering 18 miles (29 KM’s) in 3 hours. Being a longer skate, we meet & start at Hyde Park Corner at the earlier time of 7pm.
We will have 2 breaks, the first at Liverpool Street Station, the second at Paddington Station & should arrive back at Hyde Park Corner at the usual time of 10pm.
Please check here for the weather call around 5pm.
