This weekend is a bank holiday and, being the last Sunday of the month, it is a Snail Stroll. So if you haven’t skated for a while or you think you’re ready to give street skating a go, this is the perfect weekend as your muscles will have all day on Monday to recover! Come and join your Lead Marshal Emily on a winding route down to Battersea Park for half time. But the picnic in the park won’t happen there – save it for when we get back to The Serpentine!!
This Friday is our traditional Long Good Friday skate where we mostly follow the circle line around town covering 18 miles (29 KM’s) in 3 hours. Being a longer skate, we meet & start at Hyde Park Corner at the earlier time of 7pm.
We will have 2 breaks, the first at Liverpool Street Station, the second at Paddington Station & should arrive back at Hyde Park Corner at the usual time of 10pm.
Please check here for the weather call around 5pm.
This week is the last Sunday of the month so it is a Snail Stroll. You Lead Marshal is Emily, so of course it is a Snail Stroll with a twist! The route is a little longer than a normal Snail Stroll, but the it is flat and the pace will be kept nice and easy for you. Plus some of the surfaces are samooooooooooove! So come and join us for joint out to Shepherds Bush with a break at the triangle for half time.
This week we are going central to see some of the tourist sites of central London heading through Mayfair, a short jaunt south of the River Thames before passing Parliament in Westminster to head back to Hyde Park. Come and and make you Sunday a fun-day with your lead marshal Emily making an attempt to over-ride the weather this week. See you there!
Temperatures are about to plummet once more, but we reckon the sun will still be shinning. So why not come and grab a bit of winter sun and warm yourself up with a Sunday Stroll down to Parsons Green. Your Lead Marshall this week is Emily, and she’s raring to go!!
Come join us this Friday for a fast paced blast to Westbourne Park!
We meet at Wellington Arch to depart at 20:00!
