Good Luck Lemons-ers!
June 22, 2010
This coming weekend is the date of the Le Mans 24 hour endurance race, or “Lemons” as it is affectionately known. The race held is annually at the 4.2 km Bugatti Circuit just out side Le Mans in northern France.
Around 70 skaters from London are invading France by rail, air and sea to form a number of teams and take part. Quite a lot of them are regular marshals or participants of the Sunday, Friday and Wednesday night skates. Chances are you know someone who’s going.
Of particular note is former LFNS Lead Marshal George Puttner, who is competing in the 24 Hour Solo category. LondonSkaters.com is hosting an article in which George talks about his plans & preparation, here: http://www.londonskaters.com/article-steev-le-mans-2010-build-up.htm
Week On Wheels wishes all our London invaders the very best in taking on the French, Germans, Spanish and all the other nations represented by the 500+ teams taking part at this years Le Mans. To George we wish particular good fortune – look after him all the rest of you. Go for it guys and GOOD LUCK!
