Friday 3rd October - Stop before the M4

London Friday Night Skate

We are GO!

Bren is taking us on a West Express route. Straignt out and straight back, at speed. Similar to the route he ran in April he will be leaving on time and not hanging around at half time.

Sunday 28th September - Ich bin kein Berline (Route)

Friday 26th September - Ruthless II

This week we went on a fun tour with some interesting challenges! A nice gentle 12 mile route twisting and turning, and some long straights. Half time was at Lincoln fields, and the second half was full of surprises.

Sunday 21st September - Bishop's Deja Vu

This week's Sunday Stroll takes us, in its usual slow but steady manner, to Bishop's Park, one of London's most charming parks. This is a brand new route, especially designed for skaters who need to recover from last week's hills. If anything looks overly familiar than the lead marshal would like to let you know that he cannot be held responsible for any Deja-Vus, as he has no influence over when and where the Sentinels are tampering with the Matrix.

Friday 19th September - No Sleep 'Till Hammersmith

This FRIDAY's route looks to the future - in the form of the Berlin Marathon - in being flat and smooth, and back in time to the 24h of Le Mans in having one hill. The red route will take us to Half time at Putney station at a sedate pace, after which the black route will attempt to move you a touch faster. And, should you be tempted to fall asleep after Hammersmith, we shall do our best to keep you from doing so by sending you down Kensington Church Street. On skates.

Sunday 14th September - North and South Kensington

This Sunday lead mistress Sol is showing us her class! Yup, she’s taking us to the very best parts of London, or at least the best parts that are also somewhere out to the west. After skirting round the back of Harvy Nic’s and Harrods, the 7 mile route gets as close as we dare to Sloane Square. Expect to see fabulous clothes, toned bodies and perfect manicures. Some of the pedestrians might have made an effort too.

Friday 12th September - The Ruthless Route (Route)

Sunday 7th September - Stroll Central (Route)

Friday 5th September - Holland Park (Route)

Sunday 31st August - Trip to the Tower (Route)

Friday 29th August - Pub to Putters

The LONDON FRIDAY NIGHT SKATE heads southwest into uncharted territories, seeking the source of the mysterious Wandle river, whose name arises from the ancient and mystery shrouded Wendle's settlement which once existed on the south bank of the Thames... Who are we kidding? This, in time-honoured tradition, is basically the Lead Marshal's route home from the pub. 12 miles, halftime at Putney East Tube. Involves up and down hill sections of medium difficulty in both first and second half, so you must be able to stop, turn and control your speed on an incline. It's a long-ish route so we'll be looking for an on time departure.

Sunday 5th October - A wander up West

Sunday Stroll

Rained off

Lots of our marshals are away this week so we're wondering where to go...and we think we'll end up wandering round the West End. The route here is roughly what we'll do.

NEWS

The One Way Stroll Is Back

Back by popular demand, One way destination Strolls begin this Sunday where we take you alll the way out East to Victoria Park. See some of last years Highlights to wet your appetite.

Stroll on film

Our friends from FSTarragona recently attended a Sunday Stroll and took some video footage. They've kindly allowed us to post the video here.

EasterSkate

A Big Belated Thank you to all of you who came and supported us on the Easterskate. We managed to run the Bunny Stroll eventually and much fun was had. An official video is being painstakingly editted to bring you not one, not two, not three, but four video angles and thumping soundtrack.

We're on Facebook

Over 250 of you have already started using our application. If you're an avid Facebook user and you want to keep up to date with the status of the coming skates each week then try out the new Facebook LFNS Skate Updates App.

Donations

The LFNSTM is STILL not asking for money over the web. If we were, it would say so here. But we aren't.

However, due to popular demand, we have created a donations account, whereby one off payments or regular contributions can be made, finally removing the need for our regular contributors to use cheque books and hard cash. Contact us if you require further details.

As always if you give money to anyone else claiming money on behalf of the regular Friday and Sunday streetskates in London it is not going to the LFNSTM. If in doubt just come and ask one of the marshals to point you in the right direction.

T-shirts

It's cold, it's dark, it's Winter! So why on earth would you want to buy a t-shirt? But if you do a limited number of official LFNSTM t-shirts are still available: get one now before the weather gets warm again.

WAP Update Service

Sometimes you can't get near a computer to find out whether the skate is on or not. We know, it's a nuisance.

So now you can use WAP to find out! Go to wap.lfns.co.uk on your Mobile to see if we're going or whether the weather has beaten us.

We don't charge for this service - normal WAP connection costs apply.
