Over the years various shops, bars and businesses – plus a few private individuals – have donated cash or equipment to help keep the LFNS on the road. Once again, we’d like to thank them all.
Currently, we are pleased to be supported by the Slick Willies skate shop on Gloucester Road.
As well as donating cash to the LFNS, which we use to buy things like marshal vests and sound equipment, Slick Willies also helps us with publicity. In store they spread the word when they sell skates. And they will soon have pages on their website to give an outline of the various London street-skates and provide links and information about events. Other ways include using their blog, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channel.
Slick Willies says it will also give something to the skating community and those that participate on the street skates. For example, special discount weeks for customers that mention LondonSkate or LFNS, and prizes to tie in with events such as Halloween and LondonSantaSkate.
It’s been a while since we’ve had this kind of help, and we’re pleased to have them along for the ride.
