That Black Day We Do So Fear, Is Really Getting Very Near!
August 31, 2010
Santa Skate? Pah! A celebration for the sugary, the lightweight, the do-gooders. For them sucked-in by the fantasy of christmas cheer and seasons greetings. Ha! Pathetic! Have they forgotten the darkness that must come first? The shortening of days? The lengthening of nights? The blood-cold prelude to winter? For feathery notions of snowflakes and light must first surrender to withering and wickedness. Before December cometh October and in October cometh … the Eve of All Hallows!
Bring thee then blood, ye masks and costumes of terror. Ye pirates and demons, Sarah Palin’s and Teletubbies (Arrrg! *shiver*). Prepare to meet your maker, your match, or at least your villianous and wickedly well-dressed lead marshal.
Because let’s face it – it’s a bit naff to announce a date for LondonSantaSkate, as we did last week, before we’ve got one for HalloweenSkate.
This year therefore HALLOWEEN SKATE 2010 will fall like the executioner’s axe on Saturday 30th October 2010. Mark the date! More detail to come, but there will be a rolling parade of wailing and lament, followed as in previous years by an after-party of dark pleasures!
Think black thoughts! Thar will be dragons! Upon them we shall ride! Although for “dragons” ye may want to substitute, “K2s”, “Sebas”, or whatever is your personal choice of wheeled terror. On this night they shall be dragons I tell ye! Ride! Mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-haaaaaaaaa!
