ONE WAY SKATE to Stratford’s “Olympic Park” as it was known during the 2012 summer olympic games but later renamed “Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park” to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II.
Did you know that it’s
– not an official Royal Park?
– part of the East London Tech City or silicon round about?
– among the largest urban parks ever created in Europe in the past 150 years, to enrich the local ecology by restoring wetland habitats and planting native species?
We’ll be skating there this Sunday and NOT coming back to Hyde Park.
