The Ruckass Returns: LondonSkate: April 20th!

April 11, 2011

Long summer evenings are back, the warmth of spring is in the air, trees are budding with leaves and flowers beginning to bloom. It’s also the start of the fluff season in Hyde Park, goshdarnit. But it can mean only one thing kids. It’s time to get excited. It’s time to prepare for maximum skating overload. Next week, Wednesday 20th April, it’s time for … the return of The LondonSkate!

Hold onto your hats kids, the ruckass is back! Every Wednesday from April 20th until September the LondonSkate, sister skate to LFNS and Sunday Stroll, will depart from the Bandstand on Serpentine Road in Hyde Park. The LondonSkate is an intermediate level skate pitched somewhere between Sunday Stroll and LFNS pace. If you’re comfortable on the Stroll then it’s time to try the Wednesday night skate.

The LondonSkate website features route maps and weather call information and can be found at There is also a LondonSkate Facebook group, here:

Get your bearings working freely friends. The season of skating three nights a week and in daylight till 10pm is almost here!
